Abkhaz president says partnership agreement with Russia will strengthen independence

Abkhaz President Raul Khajimba said that the new agreement on alliance and strategic partnership with Russia is based on the friendship and cooperation agreement of 2008 and would help strengthen the independence of the republic.

The president noted that the document will be signed in Sochi today. It will improve collective security, social support and economic development. According to Khajimba, the document took into account proposals made during public discussions and parliamentary talks.
