Russia to start collecting biometric data from foreigners on December 10

 

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered collection of biometric data from foreigners and stateless persons on December 10. Countries will be informed about the initiative before December 5, Kommersant reports.Foreigners and stateless persons will need to give fingerprints before receiving a visa to Russia. The new rules will be implemented by the Russian Foreign Ministry and FSB.
