Mobin Saulat appointed head of TAPI

A new head has been appointed of the TAPI Pipeline Company Limited (TPCL), which will construct and exploit the Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan – India (TAPI) gas pipeline.


Mobin Saulat, the Executive Director of Inter-State Gas Systems (Private) Limited (Pakistan), was elected the chairman of TPCL at the first session of its board, abc.az reported.

TPCL was established on November 11th by the Turkmengas State Concern, Afghan Gas Enterprise, Inter-State Gas Systems (Private) Limited, and GAIL (India) Limited. The pipeline will be 1.8 thousand km long; its capacity will be 33 billion cubic meters annually.
