Azerbaijan accuses 1+1 TV of making illegal film in Nagorno-Karabakh

Acting spokesman of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Khikmet Hajiyev said that 1+1, a TV channel that made the “15 republics” film, made a false depiction of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Trend reports.The Ukrainian channel requested accreditation at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, according to the law on mass media. The ministry said that journalists of the channel had been working in Nagorno-Karabakh before getting accreditation.The Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine sent a protest note to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry for showing the film. The embassy said that the film had an anti-Azerbaijan sentiment. Moreover, the embassy added that Azerbaijan had always stood for territorial integrity of Ukraine and backed its position with a vote at the UN General Assembly.
