Approximately 100 hectares cleared of mines in Chechnya

Specialists of the «Leader» center of the Russian Ministry of
Emergencies have cleared 83,000 sq m of territory of mines, ITAR-TASS
reports, citing the press-service of the regional center of the
Russian Ministry of Emergencies.

48 explosive devices were found. 34 people were involved in the
mine-clearing. They need to clear 282,000 sq m more.

In the previous years mine-clearing mainly took place in the cities
and other populated areas of Chechnya. Engineers are now clearing
agricultural land.
