Leyla Aliyeva meets with UNEP chief

 

Leyla Aliyeva, vice president of the Heydar Aliyev Fund, the founder and head of the IDEA, met with UNEP Chief Jan Dusik. Aliyeva informed Dusik about projects of IDEA in protection of nature and the environment. She said that IDEA and UNEP had common approaches in many sectors of environmental protection, Trend reports.The IDEA chief expressed interest in further cooperation with the UNEP started 2012 within the framework of the Green Week conferences and other similar events.Dusik emphasized that he was well-informed about projects of IDEA and reminded about assistance the UNEP was giving IDEA in solving ecological problems.The sides discussed signing of a bilateral memorandum of understanding for further development of cooperation and realization of pilot projects in the sector of Green Economy.
