Lavrov and Mogerini talk about Syria and the Middle EastRussian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, European Commission Vice President Federica Mogherini the Middle East peace process and the situation in Syria on the sidelines of the 21st meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Basel.This was the first official meeting between Lavrov and Mogerini, which has recently been appointed as the head of EU diplomacy.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed the Middle East peace process and the situation in Syria with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, European Commission Vice President Federica Mogherini on the sidelines of the 21st meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Basel.

This was the first official meeting between Lavrov and Mogherini, who has recently been appointed as the head of EU diplomacy.
