Syria says Israeli air forces bombarded Damascus

The Syrian authorities announced today that the Israeli air forces launched an attack on the country's capital of Damascus.

The Syrian general staff condemned this strike and underlined that it would not stop the Syrian army's "operation against terrorists".

"Syria condemns Israel's air stike on Damascus, which caused damage. This strike should be seen as a supprot to terrorism," the communique issued by the general staff reads.
