Azerbaijani physicists cut costs of photo elements of solar batteries by 50%

The Institute of Physics of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences has improved the technology for production of photo elements for solar batteries, halving their costs, as stated by Javad Abdinov, deputy director of the Institute of Physics, Trend reports.Scientists developed new constructions of the elements using foreign equipment. Their energy conversion efficiency increased from 14-15% to 18-19%. The figure will reach 30% in the future. Azerbaijan plans to use the new technology in national technology parks.
