"I think that, despite the fact that the trip was very short, it was a very productive and useful. This visit is a prerequisite for the expansion of cooperation between the two countries," the diplomat said.
"Iran has joined four countries that have united in the fight against drugs. I mean Russia, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan. They have been asking Iran to discuss this issue for a long time. Iran finally agreed to join the organization. It also signed a cooperation program with Russian Federal Agency for Drug Control for three years - from 2015 to 2018," he said.
"At a meeting with the Minister for Emergency Situations and the Minister of the Interior very good agreements were reached. Together they discussed the issue of exchange of delegations, exchange of information, cooperation around the Caspian Sea," the Iranian diplomat said.
