Brzezinski warns against Ukraine’s membership of NATO

Zbigniew Brzezinski, a legendary American politologist and ex-state official, said that Ukraine’s membership of NATO will only worsen the crisis in relations with Russia. He believes that the conflict will be beneficial for Russia because it will cause a collapse of the Ukrainian economy and its democratic system, Interfax reports.

Moreover, the political analyst pointed out that Ukraine itself had different opinions about joining NATO.

The Ukrainian parliament will consider lifting the non-aligned status of the country this week.
