First international sports ambassadors of EuroGames 2015 announced

The Baku-2015 European Games Operating Committee (BEGOC) has announced on Tuesday the names of the athletes who will be the first international sports ambassadors of the EuroGames.

They were selected to represent their sports and participate in marketing campaigns across Europe to promote the first-ever European Games.

In addition to representatives of the Serbian national 3x3 basketball team - Dushan Domovich-Bulut, Marko Savich, Marko Zdero and Dejan Majstorovich, the sports ambassadors also will be French gymnast Ksenia Mustafaeva and Danish canoeist Rene Holten Paulsen.

"This program will provide support for the first-ever European Games by elite athletes from all over Europe, as well as Azerbaijani contenders for medals. Therefore we are confident in its success. I would like to congratulate our first international sports ambassadors. We look forward to working with them as well as with other ambassadors whose names will be announced in the coming months," Interfax-Azerbaijan quotes the Chief Operating Officer of BEGOC Simon Clegg.

Previously, BEGOC presented the Baku-2015 European Games sports ambassadors from Azerbaijan.
