Azerbaijan to toughen punishment for biased information in the media

Azerbaijani media will bear more serious responsibility for the publication of biased information. Relevant amendments have been adopted today by the Milli Majlis in the law "On the Media".

Now, if a media outlets is caught spreading biased information twice in a year, a suit will be brought against it to suspend publication of this media outlet. Previously, this required a threefold violation of the ban on the publication of biased information, Trend reports.
