The financial crisis in Russia has had a negative impact on the markets of developing countries, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu declared, speaking at an economic conference in Ankara.

"On the one hand, the decline in oil prices helps to reduce the current account deficit in Turkey. On the other hand, the crisis that is happening in Russia has a negative impact on the economies of developing countries. Now we pass the exam on the management of the economy during the crisis. Our task is to reduce damage from it to a minimum," the Turkish prime minister is quoted by RIA Novosti

Davutoglu added that the crisis in Russia and the response to it by Turkey were discussed at a nighttime meeting of the members of the government. He said an action program had been developed, taking into account different scenarios of oil prices.
