Russia extends terms of visas

The Russian parliament has approved extension of visa terms from 3 months to a year in the third reading today. A normal private visa can now stay in force for a year, a business and humanitarian visa for 5 years, RIA Novosti reports.

A foreigner may now get a visa if an organization of the common federal registry confirms reception of the foreigner. Visas will contain photos. Family members of foreigners working in Russia will get normal work visas.
