Russian migration chief doubts migrants would leave

Labour migrants in Russia receive a salary 5-10 times greater in Russia than in their homelands, according to the official. He also spoke out against reconsideration of the migration policy, even if unemployment started growing.
Romodanovsky reminded that the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Union were developing and will make the labour force more mobile. The main priorities of the migration policy are the economy, demography and law.
Russian Presidential Ombudswoman Ella Pamfilova had proposed reconsideration of the migration policy in the light of possible unemployment growth in Russia. She believes that more workplaces should be vacant for Russians.
