Medvedev orders faster development of Dagestan Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree on measures to ensure advancing socio-economic development of Dagestan."Regulation is prepared for the implementation of priority measures for advancing socio-economic development of the Republic of Dagestan, that provides a solution to the key problems in the industrial, energy, defense industry, the agricultural, fishing industry, education, tourism and business," RIA Novosti quoted the document published on the website of the government.The Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs should complete the resettlement of the Novolakski area to a new location by the end of 2018 and complete all the activities in the Gotsatlinskaya hydroelectric project’s flood zone by 2016.Also, the Government of the Republic and The Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs must approve a plan to encourage import substitution in the agriculture sector in the republic for 2015-2016."North Caucasus Resorts" as well as the regional authorities have been charged with organizing activities for the development of the special economic zone in Khunzakh, Karabudakhkent, Kayakentsky, Derbent and the Magaramkentsky District
