Kazakh Senate approves agreement on protecting classified information in the CIS

The Senate of Kazakhastan has ratified the draft law "On ratification of the Agreement on the protection of classified information within the Commonwealth of Independent States".

In accordance with legislative procedure, the document shall be deemed accepted by Parliament and in the form of a law sent for signature to the President.
The Agreement on the protection of classified information within the CIS was signed in Minsk on October 25, 2013.

The Agreement provides for protection of data privacy while cooperating within the CIS.

CIS bodies protect sensitive information in accordance with this agreement and instructions on how to handle classified information.
