Visa and MasterCard stop serving Crimean banks

Visa stopped serving Crimean banks, according to U.S. sanctions N13685 adopted on December 19, 2014. It means that Visa credit cards will not be operational on the peninsula, RIA Novosti reports.

MasterCard warned Russian banks about the need to stop operations with its cards in Crimea.

Visa and MasterCard have already stopped serving Rossiya Bank and SMP Bank and their subsidiaries.
