Naturalized foreigners to take oath in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani parliament has passed amendments to the law on citizenship obliging naturalized foreigners to take an oath, according to Ali Guseynli, the head of the parliamentary committee for state system and legal policy, abc.az reports.


The oath will be taken by citizens aged 14 and above in the Azerbaijani language. The ceremony will take place near a flag of Azerbaijan, the oath-taker will put his/her hand on the Constitution. The oath will be followed by the signing of a special document.
