Azerbaijani became less sick
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaIn recent times in Azerbaijan the situation with many serious illnesses has greatly improved, primarily thanks to the measures taken by the authorities. This was announced today by the head of the department of medical care of the Ministry of Health, Gulmirza Poladov, during a speech at an enlarged meeting of the board.
In particular, this applies to hereditary blood diseases: in the last decade, deaths from thalassemia have fallen fivefold, and deaths from hemophilia have halved.
In addition, the epidemiological situation of tuberculosis has improved: from 2013 the number of primary patients was less than 8%.
"The number of deaths has reduced from this disease. In recent years the level of drug-resistant tuberculosis in the country has even gone down," Poladov is quoted by Trend.
