IS militants release prisoners captured in Iraq

Militants of the radical group Islamic State (IS) have released dozens of people seized on Friday in two villages in the province of Kirkuk in northern Iraq after unknown men burned the flags of the militants.

 

Gunmen seized about 170 people from the villages of Al-Gharib Shazhara after two flags of the terrorist organization had been burned in the region. The militants took the men away, stating that they intended to conduct an investigation into their involvement in the burning of the flag. According to eyewitnesses, the terrorists were looking for 15 unknown men involved in the burning of the flag in Al-Gharib, RIA Novosti informs

 

The militants have released 162 of the 170 captured. There is no information about those who remain prisoners of the terrorists, AFP reports, referring to a representative of the local intelligence service.
