Anzhi-2 FC player killed in Dagestan

On the night of January 3 in the Kumtorkalinsky region of Dagestan a player of Anzhi-2 FC was killed.

"The murder was committed in the village of Novokuli around midnight. According to the MIA, a football player of Anzhi-2 was shot with small arms fire and died in hospital," a police spokesman said, Interfax reports, referring to the press service of the Ministry of the Interior in Dagestan.

The press service of Anzhi FC confirmed the fact of the murder.

"20-year-old left-back Hasan Magomedov was killed. He was one of the major players of the season, he had played 16 matches," a representative of the club confirmed.

Anzhi-2 FC plays in the second division of the Southern region of the Russian Championship. Magomedov had been a student of Makhachkala Sports School.
