In the course of trading on Monday, the euro hit record lows against the dollar. Investors' concerns related to the possible introduction of quantitative easing by the ECB and the market's reaction to the situation with a potential Greek exit from the eurozone, writes the Financial Times.

The dollar strengthened against most currencies except the Japanese yen.

The euro, in its turn, showed its worst result for 9 years - its rate against the dollar fell by 1.2%. The cost of €1 is now $1.1864 - the worst figure since March 2006, RIA Novosti notes.
