Oil prices create problems in America

Kansas and other states in the US whose budgets largely depend on oil may soon be faced with serious financial problems.

In the state of Kansas, the tax revenues of oil-producing and oil-processing companies account for 7% of the budget. First of all, the fall in prices will affect the oil-producing areas.

In 2014, tax revenues from petrodollars in Kansas amounted to $46 million. Most of these funds went to the development of the school system of the state.
