Çavuşoglu says Turkey needs active foreign policy

An active foreign policy is the responsibility of Turkey, the head of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mevlüt Çavuşoglu, said today during the seventh conference of Turkish ambassadors in Ankara.

Çavuşoglu stressed that the events taking place in neighboring countries force Turkey to be as active as possible. In particular, news agency Trend reports, the Minister said that Ankara supports the soonest possible settlement of the crisis in Syria, while many states regard this problem with indifference.
