NATO Secretary General has confidence Georgia will join alliance

Georgia will eventually be a NATO member, Secretary General Anders
Fogh Rasmussen said at a meeting with Parliamentary Speaker David
Bakradze in Tbilisi, Trend reports.

Rasmussen said that the decision made at the NATO summit in Bucharest
will be fulfilled.

The Secretary General expressed confidence in the efficiency of the
Georgia-NATO comission which is aimed at helping Georgia join the
alliance.

Rasmussen confirmed that NATO supports the territorial unity of
Georgia and demanded the fulfilment of the ceasefire agreement of
August 2008 and the liberation of occupied Georgian territories.
