Armenia replaces outdated soviet planes
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaArmenia has started replacing its outdated air fleet with modern planes, as announced head of the Flight Safety Department Serob Karapetyan, reports ARKA.
"Recently the Armenian air fleet was modernized and equipped with new planes complying with safety requirements," - said Karapetyan at a press conference.
Moreover, AN-24 and Yak-40 aircraft have been taken out of service, as they don't meet safety requirements. Karapetyan also added that airplanes are delivered directly from the manufacturers. In the near future, the Armavia airline will receive a new Airbus.
At present, Armavia operates 102 flights, on 35 routes to 20 countries.
