Lawmaker wants more films dubbed into Georgian
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaTina Khidasheli of the Georgian Dream coalition said that films in Georgia should be dubbed into Georgian or demonstrated in the original language, not dubbed into Russian, Vzglyad reports.
Maya Sikharulidze, spokeswoman of the Rustaveli Cinema Theater, the main cinema theater in the country, noted that there were film sessions in the original language, in Russian or in Georgian, according to requests of viewers. Sikharulidze added that national minorities preferred to watch films in Russian.
The Iveria Society headed by ex-Minister for Culture Nika Rurua has asked prosecutors to ban Russian TV channels for their information war.
