North Caucasus expects avalanches The North Caucasian Regional Emergency Center of Russia issued today a warning about the high risk of avalanches in the mountains of Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia and North Ossetia due to heavy snowfall in the region.The high avalanche alert will remain at least until Thursday evening.
