Latvian tourists freed from snow on Georgian military highway
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaRescuers freed two Latvian travelers who were stranded by the recent snowfall in the Kazbegi region on the Georgian military highway, representatives of the Georgian interior ministry and rescue service reported.
The rescue operation "was carried out in conditions of heavy snow and avalanche danger," the department noted. The travelers are now in good health, TASS reports.
