13 people poisoned by gas in Chechnya since start of heating season

13 people have been poisoned, one of them died, by carbon monoxide poisoning in Chechnya since the start of the heating season. The Russian Ministry for Emergencies is taking preventive measures by checking residents, according to Bislan Galayev, deputy chief of the Chechen Ministry for Emergencies.

 

The last gas poisoning, Galayev said, occured in Kadi-Yurt (Gudermessky District) on January 9. A family of five, including two children, was poisoned. "Luckily, none of them died," noted the official.
