Father Kartozia’s body will be transferred to Georgia on January 17

The body of the Georgian priest, Father Elijah Kartozia, who until the last moment rescued passengers during a fire on the Norman Atlantic passenger vessel and died himself, will be transferred to Georgia on January 17, according to Mose Tchankvetadze.

"On Saturday his body will be brought home," RIA Novosti cited the priest.

In the near future a delegation from the Patriarchate will arrive in Bari (Italian city), where Kartozia's body is being kept, to settle all the formalities required for the transportation of the body.
