AvtoVAZ to expand industry in Chechnya

AvtoVAZ has reached an agreement with Chechnya to expand its manufacturing business, Minister for Industry and Trade Denis Manturov stated. VEB is considering granting a loan for the expansion.

Chechnya signed an agreement on organizing a car-assembly center at the Pishchemash Factory in Argun in 2008. The production line that manufactures the VAZ-2107 model was upgraded for production of Lada Priora cars in January 2012. Specialists were trained for the new production line.
