Great Britain and the United States "will continue to put pressure on Russia in attempt to resolve the crisis in Ukraine through diplomatic channels." This is stated in a joint article published today by British Prime Minister David Cameron and US President Barack Obama.

The politicians "will continue to counter Russia’s actions in Ukraine", which, in their opinion, are "aggressive."

"If we allow such fundamental violations of international law to go unpunished, we will suffer from the instability that will follow it,” RIA Novosti quotes their words, referring to the Times newspaper.

"We have sent a clear signal: the international community will not support Russia's efforts to destabilize Ukraine," said Cameron and Obama.

In addition, the leaders of Britain and the United States drew attention to the fact that they will continue to assist Ukraine in strengthening its economy and democracy. They also noted that "security and prosperity go hand in hand", denoting the fight against terrorism as a priority.
