Muslims’ opponents gain upper hand at famous university

The famous Duke University in North Carolina has had to change its plans after threats from violent opponents of Islam.

Initially, the administration was going to allow Muslim students to sing the traditional call for Friday prayers from the bell tower located on the campus. It was intended that the first male voice would sing in Arabic and then be translated into English with a female voice.

However, representatives of anti-Islamic, conservative and Christian groups stood against these plans. Threats were even made in addresses to the University.
