Armenia opens criminal cases following riots in GyumriThe Armenian Investigative Committee has opened criminal cases into violations committed by participants in protest rallies in Gyumri.It was opened under Article 258 (hooliganism) and 316 (violence against a representative of authorities).The investigation is carried out, polise has not any accused in the case yet, "Novosti-Armenia" reports.As "Vestnik Kavkaza" reported, January 5 there were unrest in front of the Consulate General in connection of demanding the extradition of a Russian soldier Valery Permyakov, admitted to murdering six members of family in Gyumri. As a result, 14 people were hospitalized. 13 rioters were arrested, but later released.

It was opened under Article 258 (hooliganism) and 316 (violence against a representative of authorities).

 

An investigation is being carried out, the police have not charged anyone in the case yet, Novosti-Armenia reports.

 

On January 5 protests in front of the Consulate General demanding the extradition of a Russian soldier, Valery Permyakov, who has admitted to murdering six members of a family in Gyumri. As a result, 14 people were hospitalized. 13 rioters were arrested, but later released.
