Hair of Prophet Muhammad will not be displayed in Moscow mosques

The head of staff of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Moscow, Camille Manapov, said that an important Muslim relic - a piece of hair of the Prophet Muhammad, which will be brought to Moscow from Dagestan on January 25, will not be displayed in the city's mosques.

It will be possible to see it that day in the lobby of "Crocus City Hall" during the Mawlid al-Nabi festive evening. 

"In order to increase security and to avoid the possible accumulation of a large number of people and jostling in the mosques, at the request of the Government of the City of Moscow, it was decided to limit the demonstration of relic," Tass quoted him as saying. 

"On January 26, the exhibit, revered throughout the Muslim world, will leave the capital and will be returned to its place of permanent residence in Makhachkala," Manapov said.
