Dagestan to take part in CIS and CSTO military competitions

Second-Ranking Captain Adler Adlerov said that Dagestan will host large-scale international military competitions of the CIS and CSTO on August 11-12. He noted that the competitions had been initiated by Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu, RIA Dagestan reports. 

The military competitions will require the skills of armored vehicle drivers, who will train at the Adanak Range in the Karabudakhkentsky District. The military will participate in track and field athletics, swimming and other types of sports. 

Adlerov said that part of the competition will be held at the Trud Stadium in Makhachkala. Swimming will take place at the Dagestani State Technical University. First-Ranking Captain Alexey Pivachev, the head of physical training of the Russian Navy, arrived to discuss preparations for the competitions.
