Port Makhachkala to be modernized

 

Port Makhachkala will be modernized in two stages. A crossing post and an administrative building will open in December 2015 within the framework of the first stage. An inspection corps will open in 2017 within the framework of the second stage.The inspection corps will have the most advanced equipment for scanning cargo.Ahmed Gajiyev, the director general of the Makhachkala Maritime Trade Port, noted that the project will improve efficiency of cargo-checking.The new crossing post is being constructed within the framework of the federal purpose program on the state border of Russia (2012-2020). The project is worth around 2 billion rubles.
