Head of local branch of IS reported to be in detention

In Pakistan the alleged head of the local branch of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" has been arrested.

The detention was carried out in the city of Lahore, which is the administrative center of the province of Punjab, in a joint operation of Pakistani intelligence forces and the Interior Ministry, the Express Tribune reports.

According to police, the detainee’s name is Yusuf al-Salafi, who had been directing IS activities in Pakistan.
