Turkey launches warship built by private company.

A warship built by a private shipbuilding company has been launched in Istanbul. At the opening ceremony, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan highlighted that the Turkish authorities wish to turn Turkey into a prosperous and peaceful state, report Turkish media.

"Peace consolidation let the country reduce military expanses, so we can spend more on education, health care and infrastructure," - noted Erdogan. He said the needs of the Turkish armed forces in high-tech equipment are being fully provided for by Turkish companies. He added that this was the first warship designed and built in Turkey.
