Germany offers to discuss common trade zone of EU and Russia

Sigmar Gabriel, the German minister for economic affairs and energy and vice chancellor, said at the World Economic Forum in Davos that settlement of the Ukrainian issue would give countries an opportunity to discuss formation of a duty-free trade zone between the EU and Russia, RIA Novosti reports.The next step after formation of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership between the EU and the U.S. would be negotiations with Russia to create a free trade zone from Lisbon to Vladivostok.Settlement of the situation in Ukraine can only be done according to the Minsk protocol, according to Gabriel.
