EU chief diplomat wants more pressure put on Russia

EU Chief Diplomat Federica Mogherini said that Europe should add political and diplomatic pressure on Russia. She said that the EU needed to put diplomatic efforts into supporting negotiations between Ukrainian and Russian Presidents Petro Poroshenko and Vladimir Putin, Interfax reports. 

Mogherini pointed out that economic sanctions were effective and the Russian economy was experiencing changes. She reminded that the sanctions were a reaction to developments in the south-east of Ukraine and more importantly to Russia’s annexation of Crimea.
