Russia suspends its participation in PACE until end of year

Russia is suspending its participation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) till the end of the year, Russian delegation Head Alexei Pushkov said.

"We are leaving the Parliamentary Assembly till the end of this year," Interfax cited him as saying.

Yesterday PACE has decided to strip Russia of the right to vote and take part in the Assembly’s governing bodies until April 2015.
