Georgia and Turkmenistan discuss trade-economic relations
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaGeorgian Minister of Agriculture Otar Danelia met with ambassador of Turkmenistan Dovletmurat Muratov.
They discussed bilateral relations and the prospects of their development. The sides noted that there is a good legal basis for fruitful cooperation between the two countries and it must be gradually improved.
The Minister briefed the ambassador on Georgia’s agricultural development concept and current projects. They also discussed the possibility of holding joint Georgian-Turkmen business forums.
"Our countries have great potential to develop trade-economic relations. We are ready to do our best to their full development," Trend cited Muratov as saying.
While discussing the export-import operations, the sides stressed the growing rates of import of Georgian agricultural products to Turkmenistan. According to the Minister, mineral and fresh water hold the leading positions.
