"I don't think that it would be wise for the United States or the world to see an actual military conflict between the United States and Russia," Obama said in an interview with a CNN Sunday talk show, Ria Novosti reports.
The situation in Ukraine, in particular the events around the Crimea, "led to the diplomatic isolation of Russia."
In particular, Obama said, "Europe has changed its relations with the Russian Federation", and in this situation, "the formula, according to which all would end well for Russia, does not exist," the US president said.
