Dzhanelidze meets Stoltenberg in Brussels

The minister of defence of Georgia, Mindia Janelidze, will attend the meeting of NATO ministers of defense, which will be held on February 4-5 at NATO headquarters in Brussels.

Dzhanelidze will meet NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during the visit. In addition, there will be a meeting of the NATO-Georgia Commission at the level of Foreign Affairs Ministers on February 5, the 'News-Georgia' agency reports. At the NATO ministerial meeting, which will be opened by the secretary general of the organization, the minister of defence of Georgia will speak.

"The head of the defense department will consider the security environment in the region and draw attention to existing threats. Mindia Dzhanelidze will acquaint his foreign colleagues with the ongoing reforms in the Ministry of Defence of Georgia and plans for future development," the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia reads.
