Europeans happy with sports facilities in Baku

President of the European Olympic Committee Patrick Hickey said at a press conference in Baku that he was very happy with the sports facilities in the city. Hickey said colleagues of his who had been absent from Baku for 2-3 months were surprised at the sports centers, Trend reports.

Hickey thanked Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Lady of Azerbaijan and president of the Baku-2015 European Games Organizing Committee, for the great attention paid to the development of sports centers and interest in the work, for the enormous contribution to the design of volunteers’ uniforms.

The head of the European Olympic Committee thanked Ilham Aliyev, the president of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani Olympic Committee, for demonstrating interest in the Games.

Hickey also thanked his colleague Minister Azad Ragimov.

Baku will host the first European Games on June 12-28, 2015.
