Lavrov and Amano discuss Iranian issue

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and IAEA Director-General Yukiya Amano discussed the problem of Iran's nuclear program on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

Lavrov praised the professionalism of the Agency in assessing Iran's commitments to the Joint Action Plan which was agreed on November 24, 2013 in Geneva, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported, RIA Novosti informs.

The Russian side also stressed that the IAEA will have to play a key role in carrying out an assessment of Iran's work in the framework of other agreements.
